Bush Bumbles

While arduously composing my application to the future of boy bands, The Internet Band, I had a chance to play around with Garage Band on the Mac. While it’s no “my brothers 15,000,000 worth of recording equipment” it is more than sufficient for the basement bound jackass.

It comes with tons of software instruments and, while you can do it all from your keyboard, I happened to have a 88 key, midi capable piano. It’s ridiculously old but, with the help of M-Audio midi usb adapter, I was able to hook it straight into the Mac.

So – unable to code any more I did up a Bush Bumble song. I found these super easy to use, and completely bizarre, Text to Speach scripts, that I used to convert a bunch of Bush quotes into a more literate form then he could ever pull off.

Check it out the MP3. Echo rythm is pretty off, and, well, it generally sucks, but, it’s pretty cool stuff like this comes standard with a Mac. Beats Office Works and Notepad.

BushBumbles.mp3 – Guess it’s kind of obvious that I listen to Soma FM (Groove Salad baby) all day (Big Earl!)

Here are the “lyrics”

“Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir. I talk to families who die.”
“The only way we can win is to leave before the job is done.”

“Anybody who is in a position to serve this country ought to understand the consequences of words.”

“You know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war President. No President wants to be a war President, but I am one.”

Maria Bartiromo: “I’m curious, have you ever googled anybody? Do you use Google?”
President Bush: “Occasionally. One of the things I’ve used on the Google is to pull up maps. It’s very interesting to see — I’ve forgot the name of the program — but you get the satellite, and you can — like, I kinda like to look at the ranch. It remind me of where I wanna be sometimes.”

“We’re never been stay the course, George.”

“This morning my administration released the budget numbers for fiscal 2006. These budget numbers are not just estimates; these are the actual results for the fiscal year that ended February the 30th.”

“One has a stronger hand when there’s more people playing your same cards.”
“I will not withdraw, even if Laura and Barney are the only ones supporting me.”
