One of the best sunsets I’ve seen this year… more pics up here.

Zach and Elise’s send off party

My friends Zach and Elise are going away for a year to bike most of NZ, Oz, and SE Asia. They threw a great party in a ridiculously swank rental they’ve been staying in over in West Seattle. I mean, it was the nicest house I’ve seen since I’ve been out here. Really spectacular.

If McCain “wins”

From Police fear riots if Barack Obama loses US election

Meanwhile, in a blog posting entitled ‘A McCain “Win” Will Be Theft, Resistance Is Planned’, David Swanson, Washington director of Democrats.com and a board member of Progressive Democrats of America, writes: “If your television declares John McCain the president elect on the evening of November 4th, your television will be lying.

“You should immediately pick up your pre-packed bags and head straight to the White House in Washington, DC, which we will surround and shut down until this attempt at a third illegitimate presidency is reversed.

“We may be there for days or weeks or months. But we must be there. We must be there by the millions. We must show each other, and the nation, and the world that we have had enough, that we will not stand for one more stolen election, that we will not give in to fear, lies, theft, and intimidation.”

Livestation

I think I’ll be able to watch the debates tonight via Live Station (I no longer have TV – only internet). Here’s a link to their CNN feeds.

LiveStation is a really cool service that allows you to organize live/streaming video feeds on the net and watch them via their viewer which is an app you can install on any OS (well, Mac, Linux, Windoz). Since all these live streams seem to like to have their own proprietary players this is especially nice for Mac/’nix since many of those players don’t work.

Reverting to Junior High

Man, I’ve got to start drinking again, this is getting ridiculous. Now we’re playing Fortune Teller/Cootie Catcher and hanging out in front of the 7-Eleven. Seriously though, this summer has felt like high school for 40 somethings.

Chocolate Creme Pie

Being Fisher’s bitch isn’t too horrible. At least it was motivation to make Chocolate Creme Pie. While not usually one to say anything I cook is great – it was great. It’s also ridiculously easy. I used a Oreo cookie crust instead of making my own.

The Pub at Third Place Books

Gina, Kelly, Fisher, Suzanne and I went out to The Pub at Third Place Books Thursday night. Really cool space, good beer selection, awful food (but cheap), under utilized pub with a lot of potential.

1952 Dodge for sale

I decided to put my Dodge on the chopping block. Very fun car. If you know anyone who is interested it’s listed on the very cool Bring-a-Trailer site.
